UV-Absorbing Films
COURTGARD™ clear UV-absorbing films from CPFilms utilize a special proprietary process that impregnates the film with UV-absorbing chemicals, yet does not affect film clarity. Applications include overlaminating films used in graphics, outdoor and indoor signage and archiving, as well as window films to protect objects from color fading or other deterioration.
Because it absorbs 97% of ultraviolet radiation in the 290 to 400 nanometer range, COURTGARD™ is the perfect choice for protecting light-sensitive materials and aging valuables. In fact, COURTGARD™ has been used by the U.S. National Archives to protect the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights!
Unlike conventional coated films, our films assure UV protection that will not flake, scratch off, rub off, peel or streak. That makes them the best suited to protect elements such as inks, dyes, pigments, papers and fabrics from harmful ultraviolet radiation. Specialty coated IR-blocking films are also available.
